If there is one thing on this planet that I couldn't live without, it's my Nespresso machine. From a long-term perspective, nothing has brought me more consistent happiness and joy. My Nespresso has never wronged me, never broken down on me, never upset me, and never steered me in the wrong direction. Despite being nearly five years old, it still works like new.

I got my Nespresso in high school when my dad finally became fed up with my daily $6 Starbucks runs (unfortunately for him, there was a massive Starbucks right next to my school that students frequented between classes). In the spirit of compromise, we searched for at-home espresso machines and heavily debated between Nespresso and Keurig. We eventually settled on Nespresso because of the good deals on pods and customer loyalty perks. When I clicked “purchase” on my screen, I had no idea my life was about to change. Upon receiving my Nespresso, I was launched into a new world of coffee. Better flavors, higher quality beans, more diverse strengths, and options I had never considered before. After sampling all the free flavors they sent me, I immediately knew the “Melozio” pod would be my favorite.

The Melozio is a nutty, sweet, medium roast black coffee pod that is perfect for the casual coffee drinker. It's not too strong, not too light, and has the perfect blend of flavors to balance out the acidity. You can get 30 pods for $27 to last an entire month, and I promise your mornings will be much more bearable.

To make the most of my Melozio pods, this is how I prepare them:

  1. Brew one Melozio pod into a mug.

  2. Add one generous spoonful of Manuka honey.

  3. Top it off with a splash of almond milk.

  4. Stir to mix.

Once I have prepared my coffee, I take 10-15 minutes to fully enjoy it, wrapping my hands tightly around the warm mug as I prepare for my day. This switch, from rushing to Starbucks for a mediocre, watered-down latte to making a high-quality drink for myself, has been a game-changer. So, if you've noticed those on-the-go coffee bills adding up and are looking to switch up your morning routine, I 100% recommend getting a Nespresso. You won’t regret it!

  1. I’ve also switched off Starbucks and coffee shops to make my own drinks, but I’m definitely not as sophisticated with it as you are! Your recipe sounds amazing, I’ll use it as inspiration to up my coffee game.

  2. Consider me sold! I think in my next apartment I'll invest in a Nespresso, you make it seem like a no-brainer! I'll save your recipe for when that time comes.

  3. Hi Karly! I NEED a Nespresso after this post. I am unfortunately a victim of the $6 coffee runs and need to find a way to spend less money haha! I definitely want to try the Melozio pod prepared your way!

  4. I love the way you wrote this, in the same engaging format as our expert article -- I can tell you learned a lot about creating a compelling format (using photos, bullets, and clear, attention grabbing intro's) and I loved the personable topic, too. I buy cold brew, which lasts around 3 days, so it is not nearly as lasting and affordable as the pods, so I think I might have to make the switch after reading this!

  5. You know it's getting to the busiest part of the week, because everyone is talking about caffeine in this post! I personally talked about the pros and cons of pre-workout drinks! My sister has a Nespresso, and I LOVE it. She let me try it when I visited her a couple year back, and I was sold!
